Our biggest update yet

Hello! Nick from Lucive here. It's been a while!

Lucive started as a private place to write. With this release it becomes a private place to think, plan, and get things done. This is the largest set of changes we have ever shipped at once, and every one of them was shaped by how you actually use the app.

Lucive Planning is here

Lucive now has a full planning tool built right beside your journal. Set intentions for the day, the week, the month, and the year, and keep your tasks in one place. Your plans sync to Lucive Cloud so you can instantly see everything up to date across devices.

I'm particularly excited about our new set of agent integrations and an official ChatGPT plugin launching soon. Lucive Cloud contains an MCP server so you can collaborate with Claude, ChatGPT, or other agents on your plans on any device.

If you're in a hurry, you can jot down notes in a GTD-style inbox called Scratchpad and have agents process your notes into tasks later.

In terms of the journal, none of your entries ever sync to the cloud account and stay purposely cordoned off. You can still optionally enable agents to read your journal on desktop, but the cloud sync is focused on the planning aspects of Lucive.

We're off to the official App Store shortly!

Lucive has so far just been available as a Testflight Beta on iPhone. In the coming couple weeks, we will finally launch to the App Store, so you won't need to fiddle with updates anymore or worry about expiring builds.

A better journal

Journals got a deep round of polish. Reorder journals, use slash commands for formatting, pin entries, and enjoy dozens of fixes that make writing feel nice.

Syncing, rebuilt from the ground up

Behind the scenes, Lucive now runs on a new encrypted record store. Your entries are encrypted on your device, synced privately between your Mac and iPhone, and backed up so a lost laptop never means lost writing. Privacy is still the whole point: we cannot read your journal, and neither can anyone else.

Faster everywhere

We rebuilt the internals that put your words on screen. Launch is quicker, typing is smoother, and large journals load without a pause.

Thank you for writing with Lucive. If you have thoughts on this release, just reply to this email.
