Hot Off the Press: Lucive Mobile & End-to-End Encrypted Sync
Hey! Nick from Lucive here. It's been a minute! I'm super thrilled to announce Lucive's biggest update yet 🎉
Over the past few weeks the app has evolved from a desktop-only journaling app into a complete cross-platform ecosystem with end-to-end encryption and seamless synchronization across your Mac and iPhone. And, yeesh, that was a lot of work! Sorry for the radio silence while we tweaked and tested the experience.
The iOS Beta Is Here!
Built with React Native and Expo, our new mobile app brings the full Lucive experience to iOS with an interface that feels natural, responsive, and beautiful. If you previously purchased the desktop app, you'll see a button in settings you can click to scan a QR code which will direct you to the iOS download. Otherwise, snag the desktop download here and get the iOS app with it!

End-to-End Encrypted Synchronization

Bookmarks!
- Bookmark entries with a long press on mobile and a right click on desktop
- Reorder bookmarked entries on desktop and sync all of that to mobile automatically
Bulk select entries with shift
- Highlight a bunch of entries to bookmark, remove a bookmark, delete, or move them into a different journal
Revamped backup system
- Backups now live in a dedicated folder on your Mac that you can open from the app
- Easily export these to an external harddrive (they remain encrypted and will continue to only be decrypted by your macOS keychain)

Our new font system improves readability and creates a more pleasant writing experience:
